Sony Pictures Imageworks: InSPIred Leadership Program

Evolving and rebuilding a legacy leadership program into a hybrid, scalable leadership academy.

  • Sony Pictures Imageworks needed their leadership program to evolve. What had worked in person needed to translate to a hybrid, distributed reality without losing depth or engagement.

    The Results

    When we launched InSPIred, employee engagement scores around leadership trust were among the lowest in the organization. Metrics like “I trust my leader,” “My leader has my best interests in mind,” and “I feel like I belong here” were well below benchmark.

    Within one year, those same scores had climbed into the top tier of all engagement categories. Within two years, they were the highest-scoring metrics in the entire employee engagement survey. By a significant margin.

Sony Pictures Imageworks: Elevate Development Program

Purpose-built leadership development for emerging leaders inside a fast-paced creative production environment.

  • The constraints were real. Defined budget. Extremely tight production schedules. A non-negotiable expectation of actual performance lift.

    Creative production environments don’t have excess time. A standard program would never work. So we built something different.

    The Architecture

    Short, high-impact live sessions aligned to production calendars. Application sprints between modules to drive behaviour change. Cohort-based learning to build psychological safety and peer accountability. Practical tools leaders could use the same week.

    The Results

    Stronger clarity in expectations. More confident communication. Improved feedback conversations across teams.

    The cohort model created durable cross-department relationships. Emerging leaders left more capable and less isolated.
